Today you laughed at Daddy's silliness for the first time! You have no idea how much this means to him!

The Noisier the Better

I have been told that it is very loud in the womb, so babies are most comforted by loud humming noises. This is why, when you nap we have loud white noise playing for you throughout your nap. This also helps you sleep longer because you are a very light sleeper and the white noise fades out any of the noises that would otherwise wake you. You need to know all of this because today we were visiting Grandpa Kostya and Grandma Toma when Grandma asked if she shouldn't use the blender because the loud noise might scare you. I told her that you loved loud noises! As soon as Grandma turned on the blender, the loud hum lulled you right to sleep!

Heaven x 2

If one hand in the mouth is heaven, then two hands in the mouth is heaven times two! Since tummy time isn't your favorite thing to do, you've figured out how to make it way better! You balance on your elbows and put both hands in your mouth at the same time!

You always stop doing your newly-learned tricks as soon as I bring out a camera, so I wasn't able to catch you performing this new feat, but I did manage to sneak up when you were half-way there...

Happy 1st Pre-Father's Day!

Tomorrow is Daddy's first Father's Day and you are so excited to celebrate him tomorrow that you started babbling today - bub bub bub!

Today you figured out how to blow raspberries for yourself! What a great sound you are able to create with by twirling your lips! You also rolled from your tummy to your back, to the right this time!

Big Girl Crib

You have spent your first night in your crib, and I couldn't wait to get you in the morning - I have missed you all night! I ran to your room as soon as you were awake and I found you smiling from ear to ear!

Whenever I pick you up I always count to 3 so you know what's coming. I leaned over your crib and counted 1....2....and before I could say 3, you started laughing! You already know you will soon be in my arms!

Happy 3 Months!

You are 3 months old today! We went in for our monthly photo shoot, and it only took us 3 hours to get you to smile once! The beautiful smile we did get was well worth it! When we got home, you rolled over twice to celebrate your quarter birthday!

Today, you made a HUGE transition - you moved out of the bassinet next to our bed and you slept in your very own crib in your very own room for the very first time! It was hard for Mommy to let you go, but you handled the move like a champ and woke up the next morning with a huge smile on your face!

Happy 3rd month birthday, sweet love of mine!

No More Swaddle

From the day we brought you home, you have only slept in a swaddle. For your first night at home, Mommy and Daddy made you a swaddle out of one of their bedsheets. This was the only thing you weren't able to wriggle out of and the only way you could have a peaceful night of sleep without your hands waking you up. We then invested in lots of velcro swaddles so that you could get your beauty rest. Today you slept without a swaddle for the very first time! You slept for four hours, woke up to eat, and then slept for another four hours!

You Don't Hate Tummy Time

Today you smiled on tummy time for the first time, which tells me you don't hate it anymore! And...you rolled from your tummy to your back again! This time Mommy was the one to see your new skill!!

Mmmmmm

You are trying so hard to say "Mama"! Today you came out with "mumm mmuummm mum"!

3-Month Growth Spurt

You are eating so much and growing so fast! Here you are at 6 weeks and at 12 weeks compared to Cheburashka! You are tall like Daddy!

Fun with Feet

You discovered your feet today! You smiled at them and grabbed them! We also discovered the wonderful game of peek-a-boo today, which brought on my favorite sound in the world - your laughter! =)

Childbirth Class Reunion

Remember that birth class Mommy and Daddy used to take on Sundays? Well all the babies have been born so we gather up at Robin's house to meet all of your new friends!

Katya and Lyonia Visit

Katya and Lyonia came to visit you today! Katya couldn't wait for you to wake up from your nap so she could love you all up!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

You did it! You've already rolled from your side and to your side, but today you did an entire roll all by yourself! You rolled from your tummy all the way to your back, just as Mommy looked away! Only Daddy got to see this very first roll, but I'm sure there are lots more rolls to come!

Giggles!

I got to hear you giggle for the very first time today!! I blew raspberries on your tummy and the giggles started rolling! Hearing you laugh is my favorite sound in the whole world!

Three Musketeers

Mommy shared her pregnancy with two other teachers at her school - Rebecca (Katelynn's mom) and Kelsey (Lola's mom). At the end-of-year picnic, the three of you made your appearance in matching green ensembles!
