Up and Down

This morning before your nap you spent quite some time sitting up and lying down and sitting up and lying down! You are so busy these days!
And while Grandpa Kostya was watching you today, you used the sides of your play yard and pulled yourself up to standing!!

A Different Perspective

You love to see things from a different perspective - you cock your head to the side whenever you see or hear something interesting to see if it is more interesting sideways!

And this evening, while we were singing to you to get you calm for bedtime, Daddy started to put on some socks when you suddenly started cracking up! Daddy exclaimed, "I don't know what I'm doing, but I want to keep changing her socks so she'll keep laughing!" Did I mention it's our favorite sound in the world??

Delicious Water

Today you tried Mommy's favorite drink for the first time - water! You were so excited about your new sippy cup and you just couldn't get enough of the yummy water!

Real Food

Now that you are six months old, it is time for you to learn about the world outside of breastmilk...real food! Your first step is rice cereal and you can't get enough!

This new food gave you lots of strength and energy, and you taught yourself how to get into sitting from lying on your tummy! Keep up the hard work!

You are six months old today! You are off to another photo session, but this time Mommy, Daddy, and Riley join you, all dressed in purple!

Ready...Set...

It took you an hour to fall asleep every nap today because you were too busy rocking on all fours and rolling around, trying to figure out how exactly crawling is supposed to work! In fact, you missed you last nap completely because you were working so hard!

I was so excited too to find out that your hair is finally long enough to hold a bow - I have checked every month since you were born and finally this day hair come!

High Chairs are Fun

Today you sat in your very first high chair! We went to lunch at CPK with your friends Lola and Katelynn and their mommies, and you got to sit in your very own chair!

You were so excited about this new endeavor that you went right to sleep in the car and didn't even wake up when I moved you from the car seat to your crib - a first! When you woke up you learned a new trick - standing on all fours and rocking back and forth! You are excited to start crawling soon!

Take a Stand

You have gone from lying down to rolling over to sitting, and today - standing! You hold onto this play piano and stand without any help from us!

Mannies

You have spent nearly 6 months hanging out with Mommy, but it is time for me to return to work, to teaching Algebra. Don't worry, I am leaving you in good and loving hands - Daddy and Grandpa Kostya will be taking care of you. It is so hard for us to let go of each other and to move on to this new stage in our life, but we are brave.
