Up and Over

After all those weeks of rolling from your tummy to your back, you have finally figured out how to roll from you back to your tummy! You had a hard time figuring out to get your shoulder out of the way, and would usually end up back on your back, but today you overcame that obstacle!

A Visit from Jo and Red

Jo and Red came to visit you today! Remember when you were a few days old and Jo stayed with us when Daddy went back to work? Now you are 4 months old and you can smile to thank her for loving you!

MAMA!!

What is that sound on the monitor? Is that you saying Mama?? Oh my goodness, it is!!
Not only did you wake up calling for me, you spent the rest of the day repeating your first word - MAMA, MAMA, MAMA! I even managed to get it on film! My favorite milestone by far! =)

Music to Soothe

You had the worst teething pain ever today! Oh, it broke my heart to watch my sweet, happy baby be so miserable. We went to visit Grandma Dora and Grandpa Borya and you felt much better after Grandma played beautiful music for you on her violin!

Sitting Pretty

For the first time in your life you are doing more than lying down - you are in the baby steps of figuring out how to sit on your own! As long as you can lean your hands on the floor you are able to keep your balance without any help!

Grandma Love

We surprised Grandma Toma today by visiting her at work! When you saw her you were so excited that when she reached for you, you reached for her! This was the first time you ever reached out for anyone and it meant the world to Grandma that she was the first one!

For My Next Act

You have figured out how to cough on purpose! You put on a show for me today and we giggly-giggled together!

Kisses and Sneezes are Funny

Your laughter is my favorite sound in the whole world! Every day I discover new and surprising ways to bring about that wonderful sound - today it's kisses and sneezes! You give me your hand, I kiss it, and then I say "Thank you!" You crack up! We do this for a while because I can never get enough of those giggles!
Whenever you sneeze I always say "God bless you!" You think that's hilarious too!

Water Baby

You love your bathtime - it's your favorite part of the day! So today we are excited for you to explore being in a much bigger body of water - a pool! It is you cousin Matthew's birthday so we head over to Felik and Mira's house for your first swim! And....you love it!!

You had so much fun splashing and swimming and floating around! Afterwards you were ready for a nap!

Happy 4 Months!

You are 4 months old today, can you believe it? We got lots of your beautiful smiles captured at your photo shoot today! Every time Mommy would say "I love you!" you would flash that amazing smile of yours!

When we got home from the photo shoot (yay!) and more shots at the doctor's office (boo) you received your 4-month birthday present - a jumperoo! Your feet are a foot away from touching the ground so we have to pile up blankets and pillows and books but you LOVE it!

Such an exciting day for you! In the evening, we put you in your crib awake and put yourself to sleep for the first time!
